FEBRUARY 27, 2015 ST. PAUL, MN - Smyth Companies has earned a Certificate of Merit in the annual Printing Industry Midwest (PIMW) Star of Excellence print awards competition. This award was given for outstanding achievement in the Flexo/Narrow Web ¿ Labels and Wraps category. The specific work honored was a shrink-sleeve label produced for Smyth¿s customer Hormel Foods, for Hormel¿s Bacon Bits and Bacon Pieces products.

The Star of Excellence Awards recognize those responsible for the creation and production of print communications in the Midwest. It is a five-state printing competition hosted by PIMW, the region¿s trade association for the printing and graphic arts industry. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.
